Allied Health Assistant
Start Date – As soon as possible
Hours – 0.475 FTE, 19 hours a week, Monday, Thursday and Fridays

Mō te tūnga - About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our Physiotherapy team, working across the acute Christchurch Hospital site.
You will bring a strong desire to be part of a team and be dedicated to continued learning and striving for the best patient outcomes.
Tasks will include:
- Carrying out treatment plans as delegated by a registered Physiotherapist
- Maintain documentation, records and accurate statistical information to reflect care provided and to meet professional standards, both locally and nationally
- Cleaning/maintaining equipment and clinical spaces
- Checking and maintaining consumables and stock
- Delivering and set up of equipment
- Supervision of exercise/activity programmes as delegated by the Physiotherapist
- Obtaining clinical notes as requested by the Physiotherapist

- Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator
- The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Basic computer skills essential
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health
- Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health is essential
