Child Health Regional Programme Facilitator | SIAPO
The South Island Alliance Programme Office (SIAPO) supports the South Island District Health Boards Alliance framework, including governance, leadership and operational components by providing regional planning, support services and programme management for the South Island Alliance teams, service based Workstreams, Service Level Alliances, Networks and regional forums endorsed by the South Island Alliance Leadership Team.
About the Role: What This Opportunity’s All About
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced health professionals for the position of Child Health Service Level Alliance Regional Programme Facilitator. Reporting to the South Island Alliance Programme Coordinator, this position presents an exciting opportunity to facilitate the Child Health Service Level Alliance and other key activities to achieve the agreed outcomes under the Alliance model adopted by the South Island District Health Boards.
The health of children is a regional priority agreed by the five South Island Chief Executives. The successful candidate’s facilitation and project management skills will enable them to successfully lead key projects in line with the agreed Child Health Alliance extensive workplan.
This is a challenging and busy role that has long standing relationships with health and non - health organisations across the South Island. The Alliance also works closely with other SIAPO managed programmes including Well Child Tamariki Ora, SUDI Prevention and the Public Health Partnership.
The Programme Office is based in Christchurch. Our flexible working allows the post holder to work from any of the five South Island DHB facilities.
We require from the successful candidate:
- An understanding of the wider determinants of health and actions to address health inequities are essential
- Knowledge and experience of the New Zealand Health Sector
- A tertiary health or social related qualification is essential and project management skills are desirable
- Flexibility to travel to other areas within New Zealand to undertake duties e.g. meeting with stakeholders is required
- Experience at managing groups of people from diverse professional and non - professional backgrounds
This is a permanent part time role working 32 hours per week.The successful candidate will continue the fantastic work already underway by the Child Health Service Level Alliance.
