The Role: What This Opportunity’s All About
We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Secretary to join our team in the Respiratory Department at Christchurch Hospital, on a full time permanent basis.
As an experienced Medical Secretary/Administrator you will know what it takes to provide great customer service - as part of your role will be on reception, welcoming patients and gathering and entering patient details either in person or on the phone, as well as administration support to your team. This is a varied role so your ability to organise and prioritise your workload, coupled with your desire to help those around you will see you succeed in this position.
To be considered for this role you must possess:
- A commitment to excellent customer service
- Experience in the Canterbury DHB’s patient management system and MS Access is desirable, however full training will be given
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Excellent transcription skills, accurate and efficient data entry and typing skills
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
using Microsoft applications, word, excel, power point and be able to display
data in graphs and tables.
