The Anxiety Disorders Service (ADS) provides assessment and treatment to consumers who have a primary diagnosis of an Anxiety Disorder. We are seeking a registered, experienced Mental Health Professional to join our team. You will become an integral member of our dynamic multidisciplinary team, comprised of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Nurse Therapists, Pukenga Atawhai, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Registrar, Physiotherapist, Psychology Interns and administration staff.
This position offers you an opportunity to further develop your clinical practice and gain valuable experience in this specialist area. You will be part of a team providing assessment as well as individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for people who experience anxiety disorders.

Ideally, we are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health professonal with expertise in psychiatric assessment and case management. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team is essential. A compassionate and empathetic approach to care is important, along with experience in CBT and anxiety disorders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds are highly valued.
The successful applicant will receive supervision and be mentored by staff expert in the CBT treatment of a range of anxiety disorders. Opportunities for appropriate training courses relevant to the treatment of anxiety disorders and the role would be made available.
We have a fixed term 0.6 FTE position available for 12 months.

- You will be an experienced Registered; Mental Health Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, with a current NZ practicing certificate
- As an experienced mental health professional you will bring skills in psychiatric assessment and case management
- Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
- Prior training in CBT and skills / experience using CBT in your work with clients is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people is paramount in this role
- A current NZ Driving License.
