Respiratory Paediatrician
Permanent
Part Time (0.8 FTE, 32 hours/week)

About the Role
As a Paediatrician – Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, you will be part of a
dynamic multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality care to children with
respiratory and sleep conditions. Your role will span inpatient, outpatient,
and day services and include the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management
of tamariki across Canterbury.
You will also contribute to service development and quality improvement, and
support transition services for adolescents. Bronchoscopy procedures and sleep
medicine services may be part of your scope depending on credentials.

Our Child Health team at Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury is a passionate
and collaborative group committed to advancing paediatric care across the
region. We work closely with subspecialties, allied health, and academic
partners to ensure a comprehensive and whānau-centred service.

About
you
As a Paediatrician you will bring:
* Vocational registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Council of New
Zealand
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or
equivalent
* Recognised training and experience in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine
(Paediatric Sleep Medicine desirable)
* Proven ability to manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions in children
* A collaborative and respectful approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
