About the role
Are you a skilled Clinical Coder with auditing experience and a passion for quality and accuracy? We are seeking a motivated Auditor Trainer – Clinical Coding to provide day-to-day auditing and training of our Clinical Coding service.
In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Clinical Coding service by providing efficient and timely auditing and training that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.
As the Auditor Trainer, you will:
- Provide a monthly and adhoc audit program.
- Provide audit results reporting to the Team Leader
- Identify training needs and provide appropriate education to individuals or the team.
- Provide Clinical coding training programs for trainees and qualified coders.
- Support the team with queries and advice.
About you
Essential:
- HIMAA Advanced ICD-10-AM ACHI & ACS Clinical Coding Course
- Current certification in ICD-10-AM ACHI & ACS (12th Edition)
- At least 5 years’ clinical coding experience across a range of specialties
- Proven auditor and training experience, ideally within a health setting
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- A commitment to auditing, training education, and team development
Desirable:
- Clinical Coding Auditing qualification – La Trobe University
- At least ten years Clinical Coding experience across a varied case mix
- Experience in clinical coding audits
