About the role
The Cafe Assistant role supports the cafe team by providing excellent customer service and assisting with daily operations, serving customers and preparing food and beverages safely, and ensures the cafe is clean, well-organised, and runs smoothly.
Our team works within a fast-paced environment running 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
About You
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their exceptional skill and passion to our team.
Adaptability is essential as the successful candidate will be
required to work across multiple work areas and complete a variety of tasks.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Working as part of a team in a busy café environment
- Providing great customer service
- Preparing food and beverages to a high standard
- Keeping things clean and safe
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Physical fitness and strength to transport goods and deliveries across campus.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- The physical ability to stand for long periods and lift items.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of food safety rules.
