Cardiac Sonographer
- Permanent part time opportunity 0.4FTE (32hrs per fortnight) based at Christchurch Health Campus
- Hours of work are between Monday - Friday 0800 - 1630 with on call hours required
- Registration with the MRTB and a current Annual Practicing certificate are essential

About the Role
The Echo Team is a small team who work closely with the Echo consultants. They are part of the larger cardiac technical team.
This is a permanent part time role for an experienced Cardiac Sonographer, with on call hours required.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing and reporting echos, exercise echos, and assisting in DSEs in the Echo department
- Observing professional ethics and demonstrating professional responsibility and accountability
- Supervising and clinical training of trainees and/or students
- Developing departmental skills and standards, as well as maintaining adequate knowledge and sufficient training to carry out clinical procedures
About You
Do you hold NZ Registration with MRTB and are an experienced Cardiac Sonographer, who meets the below requirements?
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate is essential
- Registration with the MRTB with a cardiac scope of practice is essential
- Minimum requirement of Post Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound or equivalent
- proficient in ACHD (adult congenital heart disease) & complex paediatric scanning
- 2 + years clinical experience
- Empathetic, and patient centric
- Excellent organisation and technical skills
- A desire for continued learning and growth
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo
