About the Role
Salary - Starting rate $27.80 per hour plus penal rates for weekend and night shifts. Based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement
Are you looking to contribute to the community in a
meaningful way? Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services
Department and help maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable
environment for our tūroro (patients) and whānau.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing all cleaning tasks to international healthcare standards
- Ensuring daily schedules and tasks are completed within set timeframes
- Operating and maintaining equipment safely around patients and whānau
- Handling cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to our facilities. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whānau.
About you
Skills and Experience:
- High level of patient confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health, is preferred but not essential.
