About the role

Oxford Community Hospital is a 14 bed community facility.  Our team provide hospital level continuing care of the elderly, palliative care and respite care for the local community and as part of the wider team of Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - Canterbury | Waitaha.

You will contribute to the friendly, cohesive team by providing expert nursing care to the patients and working professionally with all members of the MDT, supported by local on-site leadership and as a valued member of our rural health team.

  • Casual position 

You will work as part of a 24/7 roster which involves weekend and night shifts.  We are also interest in hearing from candidates who require increased hours, and will to work across a number of our rural community facilities.

Skills and experience

You will be an experienced, confident practitioner with exceptional assessment skills with the ability to work autonomously and lead a small and cohesive team.

Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a variety of people, is paramount in this role.

Excellent communication and time management skills are paramount to your success in this role.

You will be passionate towards servicing the community and giving it your best.
