About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting great healthcare? We are looking for two Cleaning Supervisors to run shift operations for our large environmental services team working across several building on the Christchurch Hospital Campus. Our team work 24/7 to provide an environment that is hygienic and safe for our patients, their whānau, visitors and for our staff.

We are looking for 2 Supervisors. Shift options are:

Monday – Thursday 5.00am – 3.00pm, or

Monday – Thursday 4.00pm – 2.00am (evening penal rates apply)

  • Please ensure you specify within your application whether you are wanting to be considered for the Day shift, Evening shift or both.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supervising staff across multiple roster patterns
  • Allocating staff to work areas and filling short-notice gaps from our pool of available people
  • Ensuring staff comply with health and safety and infection prevention standards and processes to keep themselves and patients safe
  • Making sure cleaning equipment and chemicals are maintained, used and stored correctly
  • Auditing staff work to ensure we're meeting Health NZ standards and policies.

We're looking for reliable, hardworking and flexible candidates who have a passion for delivering a high-quality service.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of healthcare cleaning requirements is essential
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including a calm, consistent and positive manner
  • Experience communicating and working with diverse teams
  • Computer skills are required, particularly in using MS Excel and Outlook
