Clinical Facilitator - Radiology


  • Permanent part time position 0.6FTE (24 hours/week)
  • Hours of work are between Monday - Friday 0800 – 1630, Monday is required and other days to be negotiated
  • Based at Christchurch Health Campus

About the Role

We are seeking a clinically experienced Radiology professional to support and enable the Radiology Clinical Operational Leadership Team across a range of workstreams. This role plays a key part in improving clinical operations and supporting patient flow across the Radiology Service.

You will work in a small team as a key clinical liaison for radiology informatics, IT systems, and operating systems/equipment, helping to ensure their effective introduction, day‑to‑day use, and the timely resolution of issues. You will also bring a strong clinical perspective to operational planning, service improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Radiology Clinical Operational Leadership Team to improve clinical operations and patient flow
  • Act as the clinical liaison for radiology informatics, IT systems, and operating systems/equipment
  • Support the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing use of clinical systems and technologies
  • Contribute clinical expertise to operational and production planning, including aligning demand and capacity and monitoring performance
  • Participate in and support service improvement projects, including requirements gathering, implementation, and transition to business‑as‑usual
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinical teams and internal and external stakeholders

About You

Your skills and experience will include:

  • MIT or other relevant Radiology qualification
  • Strong customer service, problem‑solving, critical thinking, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • In‑depth understanding of radiology clinical systems and their impact on clinical and administrative workflows
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure
  • Experience working in a radiology informatics environment is desirable
  • Project management and/or change management experience is advantageous
