The Canterbury DHB’s Community Dental Service provides dental services to nearly 90,000 children aged 0-13 in Canterbury and South Canterbury and supports our colleagues on the West Coast. There are 110 front-line clinical staff who work with modern equipment in 22 mobile dental units and 13 dental clinics. The Service is undertaking change and a big focus on clinical leadership for our front line clinicians. We are growing our clinical leadership team and have recruited five Clinical Team Leaders to provide front line leadership. We are looking for a Clinical Manager who will be responsible for leading and supporting improvements to clinical services and the professional development of their teams. As a new leader you will need to be able to inspire teams and work collaboratively with them to implement best-practice solutions to the oral health challenges facing our community, changing our focus and scope of practice, improving access and outcomes for our community.
You will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational delivery of this service including budget, quality, and workforce management.
This is a new full time permanent position for a Clinical Manager.

Additionally you will have a current practicing certificate and be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a dental or oral health therapist.
