Clinical Nurse Specialist – Children’s Outreach Nursing
- Fixed term parental leave cover, 0.9FTE from 06th Jan 2020 until 5th Jan 2021
- Based in the Christchurch community, connecting with Paediatric inpatient services
- Rostered shifts between Mon - Friday 0800 -1630

The Team: What we do
The Children’s Outreach Nursing Service provides care for children who have been cared for by the Paediatric Medical Service and who require ongoing education, care and support to manage their condition.
The Role: Where you fit itThe Children’s Outpatient Department at Christchurch Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide clinical nursing expertise for the General Outreach Nursing team. You will need to enjoy a challenge and have excellent communication and organisational skills as you will be responsible for clinical care delivery and coordination for children with complex chronic health challenges
You will be:Key qualities required are, at least 5 years’ clinical experience across a number of Child Health specialities or comparable advanced nursing skills. There is an expectation you will hold, or be working towards a relevant Post-graduate Diploma.
In addition, the role will require the ability to independently assess children within their own homes. The applicant will have the ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team in a variety of situations.
