Community Mental Health Nurses - South Adult Community Service


 

  • X1 Fixed term position available (from 10/10/2019 to 20/04/2020) - enquires welcomed from those interested in part time work. 
  • X1 permanent, 1FTE position (starting 25th of November, 2019)
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and must have a mental health scope of practice.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.

The Team: What we do 

 

The South Adult Community Psychiatric Service provides an assessment and treatment service for consumers with mental illnesses aged between 18 – 65 years, and works closely with their families/ whanau - both in the community and alongside inpatient services. 

 

The Role: Where you fit in

 

These two positions will offer autonomy in how you go about your day seeing to the needs of your clients in their homes or in-and-about the community, but are underpinned by close collaboration within the multi-disciplinary team you work in, and an ability to effectively respond to, prioritise, and manage intervention and care of your caseload. You will work closely with family/whanau, primary care, community supports, our inpatient teams, and other specialist services. 

 

  • This is an opportunity to work with a skilled and motivated team of professionals, who recognise the importance of providing quality care and services to their clients. 
  • Working in this position you will provide excellent holistic case management in partnership with the clients and their families/whanau 
  • We have a strong focus on returning clients to the primary health care sector following specialist input. 
  • To be considered for this role, you will be a registered nurse with experience within Mental Health and a full clean driver’s license.
