Community Mental Health Registered Nurse - North Community

About the role
We offer treatment and support services to a wide range of consumers including Tangata Whaiora. Currently struggling with severe and enduring mental health conditions, who have experienced difficulty in maintaining their wellness with previous community mental health services.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the North Community team who will work closely with consumers and their whanau.
Under the North Community team, the case management position entails providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, case management, and therapeutic interventions for our clients and their family/ whanau. You will work as a multi-disciplinary team member, where there is a strong focus on returning clients to primary health care sector following specialist input. You will be experienced with managing and responding to crises.
You will have experience working in mental health. Community experience is preferred. You must who have registration with a current APC and scope to practice in mental health. Full Driver’s license is essential.
Skills and experience
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope.
- Skilled in assessing and managing risk.
- Ideally you will be a Duly Authorised Officer who has been trained and signed off as being able facilitate the MHA.
- You will work during normal office hours, Monday to Friday.
- Must hold a Full Driver’s Licence and have a Mental Health Nursing Scope of Practice.
