Consultant Psychiatrist - General Adult Psychiatry
The Canterbury District Health Board systematically plan, fund and deliver care to almost 600,000 people that live in the Canterbury region. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team with shared decision making and support for the work that you do. The team members have rehabilitation as a priority rather than short term treatment only and you will have a role in leading them to that end.
At the Canterbury DHB we are currently recruiting for a part time (0.5 FTR) permanent Consultant Psychiatrists to work within our General Adult Psychiatry team.
We are interested to hear from Psychiatrists who have experience in adult mental health which could include inpatient, outpatient, alcohol and drug service and rehabilitation. You will work within quality driven, forward thinking multidisciplinary teams where collaboration and professionalism are at the fore. No two days will be the same.
You will use your specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver innovative acute care that meets individual’s needs. As a Psychiatrist you will enjoy having a lead role in our established multidisciplinary teams and have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of our client centred frameworks.
Applicants for the Specialist position must have a qualification recognised for vocational registration by the Medical Council of New Zealand.
