The Canterbury District Health Board systematically plan, fund and deliver care to almost 600,000 people that live in the Canterbury region. Our Developmental Paediatric Medicine multidisciplinary team is based at Christchurch Hospital and works closely with allied health, early intervention and other community providers. The developmental paediatricians work alongside general paediatricians and a variety of subspecialists including paediatric neurology, in providing services to children with developmental difficulties.
Christchurch Hospital is a teaching hospital with students from the University of Otago, Christchurch; hence the Paediatric Department has an active teaching programme both at undergraduate and post graduate level.
Child Health at Christchurch Hospital is looking for a part-time fixed-term Developmental Paediatrician to join a dedicated team of Paediatricians committed to providing an excellent service to the 110,000 children and young people within the Canterbury and West Coast regions.
You will be required to provide high quality, evidence based and holistic Developmental and General Paediatric specialist medical care to patients of the Child Health Service.
This role is full time, fixed term for up to 18 months starting early 2020 and ending in August 2022.
To be considered for this role you will need to be eligible to gain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
