About the Role

Our team of dynamic and motivated Dietitians, based primarily at Christchurch Health Campus, provides nutrition support across the lifespan—from neonatal and paediatric through to older adult care. We work across a wide range of clinical specialties, including:

  • Critical care
  • Orthopaedics
  • Otolaryngology
  • Respiratory
  • Neurology
  • General medical and surgical services
  • Outpatient care

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two NZ Registered Dietitians with current Annual Practising Certificates to join our team on a casual basis.

These roles are well suited to enthusiastic, adaptable clinicians who enjoy variety and working across different clinical areas. You will be part of a close-knit and supportive team, with access to clinical supervision, orientation, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

As these are casual positions, hours are not guaranteed. However, availability Monday to Friday, 0800–1630 is required to meet service needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake nutrition assessment and develop individualised care plans
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and whānau, supporting meaningful and sustainable behaviour change
  • Deliver dietetic care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with a range of health professionals

About You

You are an experienced and passionate Dietitian who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

You will also bring:

  • A strong commitment to achieving the best possible health outcomes for people with nutrition-related conditions
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A flexible, self-motivated, and organised approach, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic clinical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, whānau, and colleagues
  • At least 3+ years’ post-qualification clinical experience (desirable)
  • Experience delivering nutrition interventions, including enteral and parenteral nutrition support (desirable)
  • Registration as a New Zealand Dietitian with a current Annual Practising Certificate (essential)
  • An understanding of te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to developing cultural capability
