Duty Nurse Managers - Specialist Mental Health Service

About the role
Specialist Mental Health Services (SMHS) at Hillmorton Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking for a career development opportunity.
As part of the senior nursing team you’ll be responsible for supporting staff and the coordination of SMHS after hours, weekends and public holidays. The ability to multitask in addition to exhibiting excellent clinical skills is imperative, as you will be required to provide clinical leadership throughout the service as well as having responsibility for activating and managing the needs of the SMHS team and emergency responses after hours where necessary.
About You
- We have two Permanent opportunities available and would consider this for one candidate if preferred:
- 0.47FTE Permanent, Part-time position
- 0.4FTE Permanent, Part-time position
- Senior nurse overseeing coordination of SMHS staff
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and must have a mental health scope of practice
- A commitment to post graduate study either having completed or have commenced the post graduate pathway
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Adherence to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi
