About the Role

The Christchurch Alcohol and Drug Service located at Hillmorton Hospital provides specialised clinical work with consumers experiencing co-existing alcohol and/or drug dependence and moderate to severe mental health needs. We are seeking a Registered ENrolled Nurse who will add value, expertise and energy to this stable and cohesive team. Our motivated and dedicated team works collaboratively with a consumer centred approach.

About You

In this role, you will be:

  • Working along side Community Mental Health Nurse and Social Workers.
  • Assisting with ward screenings to ensure clients meet criteria for CADS.
  • You will learn how to complete comprehensive Alcohol and Drug assessment.
  • Develop treatment plans with the guidance of the MDT.
  • Phone screenings.
  • Liaison work with other services within Mental Health and NGO`s.

Skills and experience

  • A New Zealand registered Enrolled Nurse with a current practicing certificate including mental health scope.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and confidence and ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent time management skills.
