Enrolled Nurse - Kennedy Unit

About the role
Based at Hillmorton Hospital, Kennedy is a 6-bed inpatient unit providing specialist medical withdrawal management and stabilisation for people across the South Island seeking treatment for alcohol and /or substance dependence.
We are seeking an engaged and motivated Enrolled Nurse, who will work collaboratively with a consumer cantered approach to add value, expertise and energy to this stable and cohesive team.
About You
You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality patient care and education. You will build successful relationships with consumers and their families/whanau, which will be key to your success in this role and will enable you to achieve optimum outcomes. You will be reliable and conscientious and have a genuine interest in this exciting specialty within mental health.
Previous experience in mental health, and specific experience working with alcohol and drug addictions is desirable.
This is a permanent 0.8FTE role, that follows a 4 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off roster pattern (8hr shifts). This encompasses a rotating roster of morning, afternoon and night shifts.
