Enrolled Nurse - Whāngai Aroha (Perinatal Mental Health/Eating Disorders)

About the role
Based at Hillmorton Campus, Whāngai Aroha, inpatient unit comprising of Perinatal Mental Health Service and Eating Disorders Service, provides care for a South Island wide catchment.
Perinatal Mental Health Service (5.2 beds) provides specialist treatment for women who present with complex moderate to severe maternal mental illness who require admission with their baby.
Eating Disorders (7.8 beds) provides specialist inpatient care for people with an eating disorder, where both medical and psychological treatment is required. This Specialty Service offers a fulfilling and dynamic environment and opportunities to further your nursing career. Comprehensive treatment, multi-disciplinary functions across the inpatient and outpatient teams, and liaison with multiple agencies, are integral to service provision across the South Island.
About You
This is an exciting opportunity for a Enrolled Nurse with a current New Zealand APC and mental health experience or scope of practice to work in a specialist dynamic and varied inpatient setting. You will be providing care, assessment and management of maternal mental health and eating disorder treatment.
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse with scope for Mental Health to bring your enthusiasm and motivation to work with us, in return we’ll provide you with a great opportunity to enhance your skills in a specialty area provding learning and education on the job.
About you
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope;
- Someone with empathy, compassion, good time management and adaptability who can work across both specialities within the inpatient setting.
- An ability to forge and foster meaningful relationships, whilst treating others with respect, encouragement and support;
- Adhere to guidelines of Cultural Safety
and the Treaty of Waitangi.
