We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Environmental Services Manager to lead our 24x7 team and play a critical role in supporting patient care across Christchurch Health Campus, Rangiora Hospital, and Selwyn facilities.

About the Role

As Environmental Services Manager, you’ll lead through your Team Leaders to ensure services are delivered to the highest standards while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. You'll balance people leadership, operational excellence, compliance, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement to ensure our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose.

You'll work closely with clinical and operational leaders, Infection Prevention and Control specialists, Facilities teams, and corporate support functions to ensure environmental services continue to support exceptional patient outcomes.

About you

You're an experienced operational leader bringing strong operational discipline and a genuine commitment to developing and supporting teams. You're confident working in complex environments, comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, and motivated by work that makes a difference to people's lives.

You'll bring

  • Qualifications in management, hospitality, or a related field
  • Experience leading cleaning, logistics, or similar operational teams
  • Experience training, coaching, and developing individuals and teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to engage effectively with a diverse, multi-lingual workforce
  • IT and business-savvy
