About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast is seeking a committed Clinical Lead
to work collaboratively with professional and operational leadership to set the
clinical vision for primary care and focus our approaches to quality care and
clinical standards.
As the Clinical Lead, you’ll be responsible for shaping, enhancing, and supporting the primary care services, and on embedding clinical governance and ensuring, integration of primary and secondary care. You’ll work collaboratively with the Clinical Leadership Team to drive strategic planning, foster effective inter-professional partnerships, and uphold the values of Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and champion clinical governance, quality improvement and ensure high professional standards within primary care.
- Act as a leader and advocate for clinical best practices across the district.
- Engage with key stakeholders inside and outside the organisation , fostering collaboration to achieve Coast-wide healthcare goals.
- Mentor, empower, and inspire teams to maintain effective communication and deliver outstanding care.
Your Background
We’re seeking a respected senior doctor with experience in, or passion for
clinical governance. Experience in healthcare leadership and a track record for
delivering high quality primary healthcare would be ideal. Moreover, experience
in rural healthcare settings is highly valued, and being comfortable with
working in diverse environments that values inclusive and equitable care.
