Healthcare Assistant - Nephrology and General Medicine
- 2 x Permanent Part-time positions available
- 0.7 FTE (28 hrs per week) and 0.8 FTE (32 hrs per week)
- Rotating roster must be able to work Monday – Sunday,
Morning, Afternoon and Nights.

About the Role
Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to patients and supporting the clinical team. As a Healthcare Assistant you will assist nursing staff with patient cares whilst maintaining a safe and clean work environment on the ward.
About Service
Ward 14 based at Christchurch Hospital is a 24 bed ward that specialises in the care of Nephrology (including renal transplantation) and General Medicine patients.
About You
We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant with a passion and commitment to the delivery of high standard of care for the patients. Enthusiastic and motivated, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast paced, forward thinking, supportive environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage well.
- A high attention to detail and the ability to relate to patients and their families.
- A good use of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ideally experience as a Hospital Aide or similar
