Hospital Aide | Radiology

Start Date – As soon as possible
Hours – 0.8FTE (32 hours per week)
Shifts – Monday to Friday - 0700-1530, 0830- 1700
Weekends Rostered shifts anywhere between  0700-2300
Salary - Based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement
Status – Permanent
Location – Christchurch Hospital and Burwood Hospital

Mō te tūnga - About the Role

Here in the Radiology Department at Waipapa Hospital we’re on the lookout for a Hospital Aide with a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to use their initiative.
You will enjoy being busy and don't mind that the role can be at times be physically demanding.

This role includes stock management, linen ordering,  setting up equipment for theatre procedures, dismantling of procedure trolley,  maintaining a tidy and clean environment and assisting efficient workflow. You will be working across all of Radiology which involves a lot of walking and patient transfers.

  • Excellent communication skills as well as great attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • An ability to relate to patients and their families.
  • A good use of initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Be a team member – work closely with MDT to provide efficient work flow and  excellent patient care
