About the Role

As an Infectious Diseases Physician, you will provide high-quality specialist care for patients with a wide range of infectious diseases, both inpatient and outpatient. You will work closely with General Medicine, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and other specialty services to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.

This role includes participation in clinical decision-making, consultation services, and contribution to service development, education, and quality improvement activities. This is a fixed term 0.5 FTE position, covering sabbatical leave, offering flexibility and work-life balance within a supportive senior medical workforce.

About You

As an Infectious Diseases Physician, you will have:

  • Vocational registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in Infectious Diseases at specialist level
  • A collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams
  • A commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and continuous improvement
