Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand, leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. The Team

Te Whatu Ora Waitaha is home to a busy interventional radiology service based at Christchurch Hospital, the largest tertiary centre in the South Island. Our new hospital houses state of the art equipment including interventional CT and US facilities, mono- and biplane DSA units as well as a hybrid theatre and offers a varied case mix including local and regional, general and subspecialty work. Our mix of general and subspecialty trained interventional radiologists work closely together with a supportive team culture being a strength of our service.

If you have an academic interest, Te Whatu Ora Waitaha is affiliated with the Otago Medical School affording the opportunity to contribute to undergraduate training. We form part of the new health precinct Te Papa Hauora, a creative and inspiring network that integrates world-class healthcare, research and innovation, education and industry with a strong emphasis on population health based in Christchurch.

We are seeking expressions of interest from Interventional Radiologists with our without subspecialty focus.

You will work alongside a motivated team of interventional radiologists who support a progressive tertiary service in a beautiful location.

We are looking to fill a mixture of permanent, fixed term and locum contracts.

To apply you must be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
