Health New Zealand is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated WellFood Department at Hillmorton Hospital to help feed our tūroro (patients) and whānau (family).

Our Kitchen Assistant kapa (team) are responsible for ensuring that the needs of each tūroro (patient) is met to the highest standard. Following standardised recipes and using creative flair to present food that we can be proud of while maintaining clean and tidy working areas. The role will involve food production, cleaning, Trayline service assist, and general kitchen work.

Salary starting from $28.63 per hour, Based on the Etū Multi-Employer Collective Agreement.

About You

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their passion for food to our Hillmorton facility.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and adhering to our Food Control Plan, Health New Zealand code of conduct and Health and Safety procedures.

Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
