Lead Colposcopist

About the Role
As the Lead Colposcopist, you will oversee and maintain the quality and integrity of the colposcopy service across the Canterbury region. Working closely with clinical leaders, the Lead Colposcopist chairs monthly multidisciplinary meetings, leads audit preparation and follow-up, supports the triaging process, develops service protocols, and provides clinical leadership in accordance with NCSP guidelines.
You will be responsible for ensuring alignment with the Cervical Quality Improvement Programme (C-QuiP), mentoring and training colleagues, and proactively leading service improvement initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Vocational registration in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Certification through the Cervical Quality Improvement Programme (C-QuiP)
- Proven experience in colposcopy and leading multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to quality, audit, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and time management skills
