Medical Laboratory Scientist | Toxicology

About the Role
Canterbury Health Laboratories is the largest medical laboratory in the South Island and is a secondary/tertiary referral centre. Our laboratory is open 24 hours a day, providing timely results to our clinicians to ensure our patients are getting the right treatment, at the right time.
To be successful in joining our Toxicology team, you will be a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team as well as independently. In addition, you will be organised and efficient with effective time management and communication skills.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing technical and scientific support
- Providing high-quality service to clients
- Carrying out techniques according to laboratory protocol
- Utilise the laboratory information system to register patients, input data, and access results
About you
Skills and Experience
Your skills will include:
- Scientific experience within a medical diagnostic laboratory
- Adaptability and flexibility to work across different areas of the laboratory
- Relevant NZ registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
