The Team: What we do
Our Anatomical Pathology Department is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician with a positive, helpful attitude to join us in our mission of providing a high quality service.
Part of the Canterbury Health Laboratories and based on the campus of Christchurch Hospital, the Anatomical Pathology Department is made up of a team of Medical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Path Assistants, Pathologists, and Registrars.
The Role: Where you fit in
You’ll be working for the largest medical laboratory in the South Island which is also a major secondary/tertiary referral centre with a varied and challenging case load. We have a modern and well-equipped lab including a good range of specialist equipment.
This role is junior/entry level appropriate.
You will be patient focused and flexible to ensure our team goals are met. You’ll have an eye for excellence and quality. You’ll be working with a range of people from various backgrounds so excellent interpersonal skills will be highly valued. The ability to work independently and under occasional periods of pressure without losing your cool will be important in this role. Please note the lab operates Mon-Fri 7am-6pm, hours of work to be negotiated within these hours.
