The Team
The Department of Nephrology at Christchurch Hospital provides a regional nephrology service for people in Canterbury, South Canterbury, and Westland. We provide General nephrology outpatient services, inpatient consultations and hospital haemodialysis. We have a home dialysistraining unit teaching home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for patients in our region. We are also the transplant centre for the lower South Island.
The Role
We are currently seeking a Nephrologist on a Casual basis to join our team. This role would suit a SMO who is recently qualified.
Clinical duties are those of a general nephrologist comprising nephrology outpatient clinics and inpatient care. Our team works in renal transplant medicine – the unit manages acute dialysis patients – our home training philosophy offers our patients training in either peritoneal or haemodialysis.
