You will join a team of seven other neurologists based at Christchurch Hospital. Christchurch Hospital is an accredited centre with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists for advanced training in Neurology. We enjoy close working relationships with our neurosurgical colleagues and are the major centre for the South Island Neurosurgical Service. We have the only interventional neuroradiology service in the South Island of New Zealand.
We are seeking a Neurologist to join our team on a part time, 0.6 FTE permanent basis. Your responsibilities will include outpatient clinics, both general neurology and specialty clinical neurophysiology, as well as inpatient and acute/afterhours service on a rostered basis. You will participate in supervision of neurology junior medical staff and will have the opportunity to contribute to teaching and service development. Experience in clinical neurophysiology is needed for this role.
