About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a permanent Nurse Manager for Safe Staffing - Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM).
The Nurse Manager - Safe Staffing (CCDM) provides
operational leadership support and facilitation for Safe Staffing across the
Canterbury - Waitaha and West Coast - Te Tai o Poutini district.
The Nursing Manager is responsible for coordinating the
programme of activity that supports safe staffing and CCDM across every campus.
This includes ensuring safe and effective operations are undertaken on every
shift, working alongside clinical leaders to ensure staff resources are matched
to patient care demands, that these are monitored and that staffing risks are
mitigated. They also support the functions of the integrated operation centre
at each campus and work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and
midwifery clinical leads. They support staff wellbeing, organisational
efficiency and excellence as well as a strong focus on improvement and
operational excellence.
About you
- Knowledge of and significant experience with safe staffing /CCDM
- Sound understanding of professional ethics
- Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Solution focused, adaptable, self motivated with the ability to think on your feet
- Excellent team player with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
