Occupational Therapist (Child Development Service)
Our Child Development Service is devoted to supporting children from birth to 16 years who live with a wide range of disabilities.
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and innovative Occupational Therapist to join us now!
As a NZ registered Occupational Therapist, you’ll use your clinical assessment and intervention skills together with your knowledge of child development in the areas of play, self-care and learning to work with families. In return for your enthusiasm and professionalism we’ll provide you with clinical support from the OT team as well as the Clinical Manager and wider team.
You’ll have great communication skills and experience of dealing with external agencies such as Special Education and Non-Government Organisations. Your ability to build and maintain good relationships will see you making meaningful plans in collaboration with your patients and their family/whanau. Since our service covers a large portion of Canterbury from Kaikoura to Rakaia, you’ll be out on the road a lot and a full (manual) NZ driving licence is essential.
Although this is a permanent, full time role, we are able to consider part time arrangements for experienced candidates.
