Paediatric Radiation Therapy Specialist

About the Role
In this specialist role, you’ll be the key link between patients, whānau, and the wider multidisciplinary team—championing best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement in paediatric radiation oncology. You’ll coordinate and guide care across the radiotherapy pathway, support staff education, contribute to service development, and advocate for equitable, compassionate, and culturally responsive care.
This is a multi-role shared with the responsibilities of a Staff Radiation Therapist duties. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate and maintain the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring cohesive collaboration with wider MDT
- Support and prepare treatment buddies to facilitate smooth integration of paediatric centred care
- Participate in audits/evaluation activities to measure the effectiveness of processes and systems
- Provide clinical education and support to patients, whānau, students, staff, and other health professionals, fostering learning and best practice

About you
We welcome applications from Radiation Therapists with:
- 5+ years of clinical experience, with proven experience working with paediatric pathways and multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced communication and clinical skills in paediatric care
- A passion for service development, quality improvement, and education
- Active engagement with Paediatric CPD programmes (local, national, or international)
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
