Pharmacy Services. Patient centred: medicines focused
We are seeking a Pharmacy Distribution team member to join our hospital pharmacy service in Christchurch. This role plays a key part in ensuring medicines are safely and efficiently supplied to clinical areas across our hospital sites.
You will work across Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital and Hillmorton Hospital, supporting the distribution and movement of medicines and working closely with pharmacy and clinical teams. The role offers variety, a fast paced environment and the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations.
You will be part of a large, collaborative pharmacy team including pharmacists, technicians, assistants and administrative staff, all working together to deliver timely and reliable medicines services that support patient care.
We are committed to supporting and developing our pharmacy assistants and distribution staff. Training is provided, improvement ideas are encouraged, and there are opportunities to build skills and progress within the service over time.

Key tasks include:
- Providing pharmacy stock requirements to all areas within the organisation
- Preparing orders using bar code scanning, stock selection, checking and packing
- Delivery of orders across hospital sites
- Responsibility for maintaining stock levels in a designated clinical area
- Answering enquiries from wards and other pharmacy staff
- Basic
computer data entry
