Physiotherapist – winter flex

- Hours of work are between Monday - Friday 0800 - 1630, starting ASAP through to 30 September 2026

About the Role
Are you a Physiotherapist who enjoys variety, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is keen to make a meaningful contribution this winter? We are offering fixed‑term Winter Flex roles within our Older Persons Health & Rehabilitation division, providing an exciting opportunity to support inpatient services across a wide range of clinical areas.
In this role, you will be required to work as a Physiotherapist across multiple areas within the Older Persons Health & Rehabilitation service. Clinical areas may include Older Persons Health and Orthopaedics. A key focus of this role will be supporting discharge planning and patient flow, helping ensure our services run smoothly during the busy winter season.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out effective patient assessment, evaluation and treatments in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of practice
- Formulating treatment interventions to meet individual needs in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team
- Ensuring effective communication with other members of the physiotherapy team and wider MDT team
About You
You are adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering excellent patient‑centred care.
Your skills will include:
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation within a hospital environment
- Ability to hit the ground running with strong clinical reasoning and a commitment to high‑quality care
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with Physiotherapy Assistants and the wider team
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across various rehabilitation areas as required
- Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture
Essential:
- New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- ENABLE assessor or eligibility for registration
- Ability to participate in the weekend roster
