About the Role
The Radiation Therapy Department at the Canterbury Regional Cancer and Haematology Service has multiple opportunities available to join our new graduate programme commencing in approximately Dec 2026. These are full-time permanent and fixed-term positions for a period of 6 - 9 months.
Our department has 4 Elekta linear accelerators, a Siemens CT scanner and Monaco® treatment planning system. The department provides a gynaecological and prostate HDR brachytherapy service and uses Mosaiq as its patient management system.
The department currently provides a full range of Radiation Therapy services including VMAT, IMRT, SABR(lung), deep inspiration breath hold and the full spectrum of IGRT modalities. We are a department that supports the growth and development of our staff with numerous opportunities to be involved in a wide range of projects.
About You
Applications are invited from NZ Radiation Therapist students currently in their third year of study working toward registration from the MRTB of New Zealand and who demonstrate the following:
- Strong communicator with a collaborative, patient-focused approach
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and cultural competence
- Takes initiative, solves problems, and contributes to service improvement
- Knowledge of te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
