About the Service

Our department has 4 Elekta linear accelerators, a Siemens 64 slice CT scanner and Monaco® treatment planning system.  The department provides a gynaecological and prostate HDR brachytherapy service and uses Mosaiq as its patient management system. 

We deliver a full spectrum of advanced techniques including VMAT, IMRT, SBRT, DIBH, and comprehensive IGRT modalities. Staff are encouraged to participate in a wide range of innovative projects and service development initiatives.

About You

We welcome applications from Radiation Therapists with ideally 3+ years of clinical experience, particularly those with skills across both pre-treatment and treatment workflows.

You’ll be someone who is:

  • Committed to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care
  • Flexible, proactive, and a strong team player
  • Keen to contribute to service development and innovation
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Demonstrates technical skills in radiation treatment planning and delivery, brachytherapy, and radiation oncology patient management systems
  • Eligible for registration as a Radiation Therapist by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of New Zealand
