The Role: What This Opportunity’s All About
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist/Administrator to join our team in the Orthopaedic Outpatients Department based at Christchurch Hospital. This is a permanent, part-time role, working 32 hours per week.
This busy, dynamic role, sees you working with several other receptionists to coordinate the administrative duties of the Orthopaedic Outpatients (boneshop) department.
Your day to day duties will include, liaising with patients, and their families, other reception staff, and the clinical teams that deliver patient care from this outpatient department. Other general administrative duties will be required.
- Excellent people skills: phone, email and verbal
- Strong communication with the ability to relate to others in a courteous and compassionate manner
- Good computer skills and an ability and eagerness to learn new computer systems quickly
- Experience in a similar reception role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
- An understanding of the needs to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility to assist other members of the team as required
- Experience in the field of health
- Experience with Canterbury DHB patient management systems
