Registered Midwives - Ashburton
- Fixed term part time and full time available now to end of September 2023 and casual position available
- Registered with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand with a current APC
- Can work a variety of rostered shifts in a multi-disciplinary team
If you are an experienced Registered Midwife holding a current practising certificate and are looking for a role where you can work both autonomously and as part of wonderful rural team then we would love to hear from you.
We are an efficient, friendly service with a 6 bed 2 birth roomed Primary Birthing unit, where we strive to provide quality women centred maternity care for the women and families of our community.
As a midwife within our service you will be responsible for the overall planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families and the wider MDT.

You will have a passion for normal physiological birth, women-centred care and a commitment to support breastfeeding as you collaborate with LMC midwives and our maternity services teams to ensure mothers and babies receive optimum care / outcomes during their stay, and be prepared and confidant to be working as sole charge at times.
We pride ourselves in offering women and their families a relaxed and homelike environment therefore you will enjoy being part of a team of midwives who work together with women of all ages and backgrounds to provide optimum evidence-based advice, midwifery care during pregnancy, labour and the post-partum period
