Registered Nurse – Acute Medical Assessment
- 0.8FTE (32 hours per week) permanent position
- Based at Christchurch Hospital Campus
- Shifts - Monday to Sunday – Morning, Afternoon and Nights

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team on a permanent contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing quality care to a wide range of patients presenting to Medical Assessment (MA) with acute medical conditions
- Liaising with family/whanau and members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care

Acute Medical Assessment
(MA) is a 34-bed unit caring for a wide variety of acutely unwell patients.
We want to see our staff grow, so we encourage people with professional
development opportunities and support new staff to thrive in a fast-paced
environment.
About You
We are looking for Registered Nurses with recent acute medical experience. You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Recent Acute Medical experience
- Ability to work all shifts – Morning, Afternoon and Nights
- Ability to work cohesively in a multidisciplinary team
- Sound assessment and decision-making skills
- Work calmly under pressure
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
