Registered Nurse - Cardiology Day Unit and Cath Labs
- Cardiology Day Unit and Cardiac Catheter Labs
- Permanent Position – 0.5FTE (20hrs per week)
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7am – 6:30pm

About the Service
We provide acute and planned cardiac care to the Canterbury and West Coast catchment and with the opening of our third Cardiac Catheter Lab, we’re expanding our ability to deliver timely, high-quality care. Our highly regarded Electrophysiology (EPS) service continues to expand as well, providing advanced rhythm management and specialist expertise. This is an exciting time to join a service that’s evolving to meet the needs of our community & the wider region while maintaining a strong focus on compassionate, safe, and effective care.
About You
We are looking for a collaborative nurse with strong interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, the ability to problem solve and respond in this fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years experience in Cardiology
- 5+ years experience in a Cardiac Catheter Lab
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Exceptional clinical assessment skills and knowledge
- ECG and Rhythm interpretation desirable
- Competent in IV Cannulation
- Strong Interpersonal skills and building relationships
- Strategic thinking and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
