About the Role
The Nga Kakano is a 16 bed regional unit which covers the South Island and works with people under the age of 18 with mental health problems. We have a strong focus on working with the youth and their family/whanau. You will be part of a dedicated, collaborative and cohesive multi-disciplinary team; with the opportunity to contribute to challenging yet rewarding work.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we have moved into new purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities based at Hillmorton Hospital - these facilities are a game-changer, enabling contemporary treatments and enabling more effective and efficient treatment pathways for our young people.

About you
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope;
- An interest in Safewards and training in the Collaborative Problem Solving Approach will be provided;
- An ability to forge and foster meaningful relationships, whilst treating others with respect, encouragement and support;
- Adhere
to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi.
