About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our small and friendly team at Darfield Community Hospital on a casual basis. As a casual position, there are no guaranteed hours or days; you will be covering sick (on call) and annual leave. Shifts are across Monday – Sunday; mornings, afternoons and nights.
About the Service
Darfield Community Hospital has 11 beds for providing palliative care, transition to home and respite care of the elderly for our local community.
We are a friendly, small team in a rural hospital setting, comprising of Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, a Gardener/Maintenance person, allied health involvement, Older Persons Health and Palliative care support.
About You
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC.
- A good understanding of Aged Residential Care (ARC)
- Have a full New Zealand driver’s license.
- Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- A positive solution focused approach and initiative.
- Ability to work
autonomously and as a member of a close team.
