Registered Nurse – Endocrinology

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Endocrine service at Christchurch Outpatients as a Registered Nurse. This role is varied and is an exciting opportunity to further enhance your knowledge and skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for working autonomously running various types of nurse led clinics undertaking patient assessments and implementing planned care.
The shifts are rostered 8am – 1pm across the days of Monday – Friday.

About the Service
The Endocrine Test Centre is a purpose-built area within Christchurch Outpatients that provides specialist testing and treatment for patients with a wide variety of Endocrine disorders. As part of the Nursing team you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge within the specialty and have the opportunity to be involved in Nurse led clinics providing the ongoing assessment and follow up for Patients in the community.
About You
- Experience in Endocrine nursing or similar desired
- Cannulation and venepuncture skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
