Registered Nurse – Gynae Ward and GAU

About the Role
Are you passionate about Women’s Health? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Registered Nurse to join our Women’s Health Speciality Service incorporating Gynae Oncology-diagnostic and surgery, General Gynae-medical and surgical, early pregnancy assessment and support.
Our Gynaecology Oncology Surgical Service has recently expanded taking over the care of women from the lower half of the North Island as well as the whole of the South Island. Therefore, we have been successful in gaining more nursing FTE to facilitate this and we welcome you to join our team.
This wide-ranging workplace ensures there is never a dull moment, your scope of practice is extensive, and you will develop a broad range of skills.

About the Service
The Women’s Health Speciality Service here at Christchurch Women's Hospital is a world class facility that delivers excellent healthcare to women. We are a 27-bed ward and a 5-bed Gynaecology Assessment Unit (GAU) for both acute and planned admissions for both gynaecology and early pregnancy assessment.
About You
We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to work as part of our multidisciplinary team providing all facets of care to women.
You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to efficiently and effectively complete tasks, whilst working collaboratively as part of a team.
Your effective interpersonal and communication skills coupled with being able to work in an empathetic non-judgemental manner, will be imperative to your success in this role.
Skills and experience:
- Experience working in or a passion for Women’s Health
- 1-2 years + experience working in gynaecology, surgical, oncology or an acute ward setting
- Midwifery and Obstetrics experience welcome
- Ability to work a rotating roster across all shifts, Monday to Sunday
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
